Your Guide to Dubai Mall's Paid Parking System

Your Guide to Dubai Mall Parking System 2025

Finding a free parking spot at Dubai Mall is now a thing of the past. Since July 1, 2024, Dubai Mall has introduced a new paid parking system with Salik, the company that manages Dubai’s toll roads. This new system makes parking easier and more convenient for everyone.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about the new paid parking at Dubai Mall. Here, you will get to know everything from where to park to how the system works.

Salik Takes Over Dubai Mall Parking

Dubai Mall is now working with Salik, the company in charge of Dubai’s toll roads. You’ll need to pay to park in the Grand, Cinema, and Fashion Parking areas. What’s good is, that the new parking system is convenient and simple. Instead of toll booths or cameras, they use special cameras that read your license plate.

The parking fee will be automatically charged from your Salik account, similar to how you pay tolls when driving. This new system should also help keep traffic flowing smoothly in the parking areas. However, the Zabeel and Fountain View parking areas will still be free to use.

Dubai Mall Parking Free Time, Rates & Daily Cap

Free Parking:

You get some free parking time! On weekdays (Monday to Thursday), you can park for up to 4 hours without paying. On weekends (Friday to Sunday), this free window extends to a generous 6 hours.

After your free parking time ends, you’ll be charged based on how long you stay. The exact rates are on the Dubai Mall website or app, but here’s a general idea: weekdays are usually between AED 20 and AED 100 per extra hour. The price for parking increases as your stay gets longer.

For instance, parking for 4-5 hours will cost around AED 40, while 8-12 hours will be around AED 100. Weekends are a bit more relaxed. You get free parking for up to 6 hours, and then the fees go up slowly. So, parking for 7-8 hours on a weekend will cost less than on a weekday.

This way, you can plan your shopping trip and avoid any unexpected parking charges.

Maximum Daily Fee:

Don’t worry about losing track of time – there’s a maximum daily fee of AED 1,000. This applies if you leave your car parked for more than 24 hours.

Who Gets Free Parking Spots?

The new parking system applies to most visitors, but some people don’t have to pay. This includes people with disabilities, police officers, firefighters, and anyone using the valet service.

For everyone else, planning your visit ahead of time is a good idea. Knowing how long you’ll be shopping will help you figure out how much parking will cost and avoid surprises when leaving.

Park, Pay,  & Shop!

The new parking system at Dubai Mall aims to make parking easier and faster.  To help things run smoothly, you can download the Salik app to manage your parking account.

Remember, you’ll need a Salik tag to use the paid parking, and the fee is automatically charged when you leave. If you don’t want to deal with parking, you can take the Dubai Metro with your metro nol card to the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station and walk over on the sky bridge, or catch a feeder bus that will drop you right off at the mall!
